Women’s caseworkers, counsellors, advocates and community educators

The Women’s Centre is a long established and expanding service for women. We have received significant new government funding to employ more staff.

We are seeking trauma informed advocates, caseworkers, counsellors and educators to support the exponential growth in this sector.

Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHCADS Award 2010.  Above award annual leave and personal/carers leave, plus birthday leave provided.

What our team members say about working at The Women’s Centre:

I have never felt more empowered as a woman, working in a feminist space with other likeminded women. I feel exceptionally supported as a worker and am offered ample opportunities for professional development, particularly involving trauma-informed practices.

My personal growth and professional development whilst working for The Women’s Centre has been immeasurable. Working within a feminist framework to validate women’s stories, advocate for women and raise awareness of women’s rights has been invaluable and will forever be a part of who I am.

I’ve been offered so many opportunities in my time at The Women’s Centre. I’ve worked in a variety of roles which have developed my knowledge and skills as a case worker, a therapeutic counsellor, in consultation, advocacy and leadership. Participating in an innovative and best practice response to sexual violence (the only one in the state), has been an incredible opportunity. It is an absolute privilege to get to work with remarkable women in these ways every day.
