Water Quality Lead

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering essential water quality analysis.

The role 

You will provide operations and technical support in wastewater to Operations teams in both Australia and New Zealand. You will lead significant projects in relation to invoice production, data analysis, water quality analysis and reporting, plant commissioning, systems support and coordination of projects.

The role will also see you provide leadership to the Operations Support Engineer (or Graduate) within the Water Quality team.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical input and support wastewater, recycled water and biosolid operations
  • Lead investigations and technical assessment of processes and quality and optimisation of treatments
  • Project manage water quality related projects
  • Develop documentation, procedures, and reports
  • Assist with plant commissioning and operations
  • Assist with plant audits and optimisation initiatives
  • Develop, review, and maintain water quality programs
  • Assist with water quality data management and analysis
  • Liaise with external labs and water quality enquiries from clients or regulators
  • Provide tactical and technical advice on risk management plans and any water related incidents
  • Adhere to TRILITY’s qualify assurance/work health and safety requirements
  • Other duties as directed by the Water Quality Manager

What we are looking for

  • 7+ years’ experience of wastewater technologies and processes, systems analysis and management
  • Tertiary qualifications in science or engineering
  • Sound understanding of ADWG and AGWR and EPA guidelines
  • Extensive experience in wastewater risk management systems
  • Good client Management, Project Management and ability of Technical Delivery of projects
  • Competent skills in using Microsoft Office suite
  • Good written and oral presentation skills
  • Ability to produce high quality reports and data analysis
  • Identify and solve problems of a scientific and technical nature, coupled with effective analytical and investigative skills
  • A customer focus – and particularly the ability to gain the trust of clients
  • Be able to work away from home for regular periods
