Trainee Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner (Identified) – U-me Koola

Metro South Health and Childrens Health Queensland is committed to growing the First Nations health workforce and values the role and contribution of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.

The Trainee Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner (Identified) will, under supervision, provide support and assistance to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander consumers, delivering flexible, accessible, and holistic care that incorporates a multidisciplinary, collaborative care planning approach to meet individual consumer, family, and community needs.

The trainee will be required to actively participate in ‘on the job training’ requirements to successfully complete nationally recognised qualifications associated with the program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a number of clinical environments across Metro South Health and Children’s Health Queensland.
