What we’re looking for
The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist with purchase orders, supplier coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of goods
  • Track and monitor domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely movement of goods through the supply chain
  • Communicate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to ensure high performance, cost control, and smooth operational flow
  • Assist in tracking inventory levels, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, and optimising stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock
  • Assist in monitoring and managing freight, transportation, and warehousing costs, while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency within the supply chain
  • Help in the planning and coordination of transport and warehousing for goods, ensuring effective utilisation of resources and on-time delivery
  • Gain a solid understanding of Australian import regulations and domestic regulations to ensure all shipments comply with relevant laws and standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Assist in preparing reports on key supply chain metrics such as delivery timelines, inventory levels, and cost performance.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues related to delays, supplier performance, or logistics discrepancies

What you already have

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, including international shipping regulations and purchasing processes. Exposure to customs and import compliance is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams
  • Ability to think critically and proactively address issues related to logistics and supplier management
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail when reviewing documentation, tracking shipments, and managing supplier orders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required
  • Experience with ERP or logistics management software is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and projects at once
