YOUR ROLE 

We are currently looking for a Senior Fleet Underwriter to join our Fleet Underwriting Team.  Supporting CGU, you’ll use your deep understanding of motor fleet and connections within the industry including our broker partners to drive the ongoing success of the Fleet portfolio and achieve profitable growth for the business.

Reporting into the Fleet Underwriting Manager, you’ll grow the portfolio by managing renewals and new business opportunities including attending social and industry events.  We are looking for someone who thrives in a face-paced environment, contributes a high-performance team and excels at forming solid relationships. This role will see you support and mentor the broader Motor Fleet Underwriting Team by providing advice, technical support, development coaching for motor fleet risks and act as a referral point for complex underwriting tasks.

This is a full-time permanent role open to candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.  We work flexibly with a mix of work from home and office.

ABOUT YOU

•    Solid experience as a Motor Fleet Underwriter with deep understanding of Motor Fleet and Industry segments
•    Strong customer-focused mindset to deliver exceptional service
•    Proven knowledge of Motor Fleet products in commercial and/or the corporate intermediated market and applies underwriting strategy with respect to target markets and accounts
•    Ability to provide mentoring to a small team to develop capabilities and build a high performance, collaborative and engaged team culture
•    Ability to build and establish relationships with both internal and external customers through broker presentations and intermediary visits, aimed at developing connections and opportunities
•    Experience with underwriting Motor Fleet portfolio risks that adhere to underwriting guidelines and standards
