About you

The ideal applicant will demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to support a positive team culture by effectively leading and motivating others to deliver organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively undertaking complex financial investigations (including those involving digital assets) and providing financial investigative advice in a law enforcement or forensic accounting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and analysing complex, financial and factual issues to make high quality decisions and judgements and to meet deadlines in a high-pressure work environment.
  • High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to present complex financial and other information concisely for use in criminal or confiscation proceedings.
  • Supports a positive team culture, strives for quality outcomes, ensures compliance with regulatory frameworks, and manages risk that may impede success.

Appointments in the CCC are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities which align with the leadership competencies and the CCC’s values.

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business or Accounting from a recognised tertiary institution and membership of either Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia are mandatory requirements for this position.
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations is highly regarded.
  • Qualifications acquired from an overseas educational institution will only be accepted where the qualification has been recognised to an equivalent level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
