Position: Senior Credit Officer

Salary: $99,849 – $110,703 plus 15.4% superannuation

Employment type: Full-time Ongoing

Location: Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane & Darwin (other locations may be considered)

About the role

The role requires a motivated professional with strong commercial finance experience, sound analysis skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

The officer will be providing credit assessment on a range of applications, with a focus on start up business applications. The officer will provide credit assessment advice, coaching and general expertise to the broader Business Solutions Team and other Government agencies as required.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Previous experience in business lending, lending policy or risk management within a financial institution or relevant industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or a related field
  • Significant business acumen and extensive knowledge & understanding of business concepts/operations/management, small business development, financial analysis and commercial credit assessment.
  • Significant ability to negotiate confidently and communicate with influence, clarity and with ability to understand and adapt to audience
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with key stakeholders
