Records Systems Analyst

  • ASIC is seeking a full time Records Systems Analyst to join their Records Governance Team
  • Temporary (12 months) position based in Sydney
  • Salary range $90,749 – $107,911 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team

The work of the Information and Knowledge Resource Centre (IKRC) is to provide ASIC with access to authoritative information sources, ensuring ASIC meets its legislative & regulatory requirements, minimising compliance risks, and providing strategic guidance to enhance new technologies, learning and processes. The IKRC consists of Intelligence Support, Knowledge & Information Management, Library & Research Services and Records Governance.

Records Governance supports ASIC’s record keeping principles by maintaining information systems that capture and control information, establish and implement controls that make ASIC’s records secure, accessible and archived appropriately.  As part of the Registry & Intelligence group you will help drive our intelligence-led regulatory approach.

 

The role

As a Records System Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with MS SharePoint and RecordPoint to support the corporate recordkeeping system and drive process improvement and assess key opportunities for interoperability
  • Assessing and recommending opportunities to support the implementation of classification intelligence models to support disposal
  • Undertaking analysis of business processes to identify information and records management opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure information and records management compliance and legislative requirements are met.
  • Identifying and evaluating information and records management risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Participating in the direction and professional training of ASIC team members
  • Contributing to the Records Governance teamwork as required.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Information Technology, Archives Administration or related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience gained in a legal services, accounting or financial services environment or government agency.
  • Demonstrated experience using information and records management systems (EDRMS or ECM) and knowledge of SharePoint Online.
  • Understanding of information and records management compliance and legislative requirements in a government agency, e.g. Archives Act 1983, Privacy Act, metadata and storage standards.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills for investigating and resolving stakeholder and system issues.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience including building, maintaining and utilising networks and relationships.
  • Interest in understanding emerging technologies and contemporary information and records management practices.
