Quality and Better Practice Advisor – Clifton Hill

At the Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate Quality and Better Practice Advisor to join our dedicated Residential Aged Care team.

Location: Clifton Hill

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time working 38 hours per week

Salary: $100,544.29 to $105,096.07 per annum based on skills and experience, plus 11.5% superannuation.

About the role

Join our team as a Quality and Better Practice Advisor, where you will manage special projects, oversee compliance, drive business efficiencies, and process improvements across Residential Aged Care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead special projects and initiatives,
  • Maintain Residential Aged Care Quality Management System,
  • Assess and monitor adherence to the Aged Care Quality Standards including regular scheduled gap analysis,
  • Ensure completion of staff learning and development activities, in line with the existing BSL L&D framework,
  • Prepare relevant quality reports for Residential Aged Care and support reporting for the Quality meetings within Aged Care, Enterprise Quality Committee and Quality Governance Committee as required, and
  • Oversee internal audit and benchmarking programs and Report the audit results and findings to the relevant parties.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality and compliance and wants to make a meaningful difference.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in quality, auditing, aged care, or a related field,
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration with significant demonstrated experience in coordination and monitoring quality clinical care and documentation,
  • Solid understanding of ACQSC (Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission) standards, and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Service Provider Standards,
  • Demonstrated experience in quality, auditing, risk and policy frameworks in the residential aged care, health or disability sectors,
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence, and
  • Experience in implementing service delivery changes and associated processes.
