Project Officer

The Parliamentary Service Act 1988 establishes the Parliamentary Service to provide a range of procedural, administrative and support services to the Legislative Assembly, its Members and committees.

The IT Service Area is located within the Information Services Division.  Clients include Members of Parliament, their Electorate Offices (situated within their Electorate) and all Parliamentary Service business areas situated within the Parliamentary Precinct in Brisbane.

The Service Area consists of 3 teams: Portfolio, Policy and Architecture Team, Program and Solutions Development and Delivery Team and IT Operations Team. A description of each Team’s role is contained within the position description for the role.

The primary objectives of the position are:

1. Provide support to the Program Delivery Manager, project managers and project teams in the areas of project and program governance such as risk management, monitoring program progress and complex reporting, policy and procedure implementation, resource planning, quality assurance and benefits review.
2. Project manage smaller IT projects, within capacity of time and skill.
3. Work collaboratively and constructively within the team and across the other IT Services teams to support seamless delivery to customers and fit for purpose and secure IT services.
