About the Position

The Project Administrator works within a team environment to provide logistical support in the delivery of educational events. This includes co-ordination of registration processes, booking travel & accommodation, processing payments, maintaining a database and participation in regular meetings around planning.

With your previous experience providing administration/logistical support to a team within an office environment, you will have well-developed written communication skills and a high level of verbal communication skills, including confidence on the telephone to deal with people at all levels. Utilizing your strong organisational skills, you will work independently to manage multiple tasks, priorities your workload and meet deadlines within a team environment.

Required Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Information Technology, Health Related field, Project Management or Events Management is desired, enrolment in same or equivalent experience.

Essential Work Experience

  • Experience organising and providing logistical support to a professional team.
  • Experience working in an office environment in a support role.
  • A bright, friendly and helpful nature, with the capacity and preparedness to work as an effective team member in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to follow direction with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to write, proof and edit correspondence and other materials.
  • High-level verbal communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner, with the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and data entry and database systems.

Desirable Work Experience

  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector, Government and/or Non-Government Organisations.
  • Experience working with a customer relationship management (CRM) system or maintaining data records on any other platform
  • Understanding of and commitment to the principles of EEO, WHS, cultural diversity and ethical practice.
  • A desire to work in a fair, equitable and non-judgemental environment, particularly with people infected/affected by HIV, viral hepatitis and related diseases.
