Procurement Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Procurement Business Partner to join our team. This pivotal role will provide strategic procurement support across assigned client groups, driving the effective acquisition of goods and services to meet business needs. You will work closely with key stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business priorities while ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.

As a Procurement Business Partner, you will champion end-to-end procurement processes, foster strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, and actively contribute to transforming our procurement function from tactical to strategic. You will also play a crucial role in educating stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring procurement initiatives are aligned with the overall goals of the organisation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Partner with designated client groups to plan and manage procurement projects effectively.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement matters, coordinating with legal services for a comprehensive solution.
    • Provide expert guidance on procurement challenges, including tendering, risk mitigation strategies, and accessing Standing Offer and Panel Arrangements.
    • Educate stakeholders on suitable procurement sourcing strategies and help develop risk mitigation approaches.
    • Strategically plan procurement projects to ensure on-time delivery of initiatives.
    • Analyse procurement data to derive insights that drive improved decisions and outcomes.
    • Provide expert advice in preparation for forward procurements, ensuring readiness for the procurement process.
    • Drive the transformation of the procurement function through continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Comply with all NHVR policies and procedures, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

 

  • Skills and Capabilities:
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage effective relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and management.
    • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and cost savings.
    • High attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
    • Expertise in project management to effectively prioritise and deliver on conflicting requirements.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.

 

About You:
• Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in procurement roles.
• Qualifications: A degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Commerce or related fields. A formal procurement qualification (CIPS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite.
