About the Organisation

The Tiwi Islands Training and Employment Board (TITEB) was established by the Tiwi Land Council to coordinate all training and employment activities on the Tiwi Islands. TITEB is owned and managed by a Tiwi Board of Directors, with offices in Wurrumiyanga, Milikapiti & Pirlangimpi and Darwin.

TITEB is nationally registered as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #4742) under the Australian Quality Training Framework.

About the Opportunity

TITEB has an opportunity for a Pre-Training Assessor to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months in the Tiwi Islands (with the possibility of extension). You will work full-time, 35hrs/week, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will undertake a scoped Literacy and Numeracy assessment of our caseloads on Tiwi Islands around 700 learners.

You will be designing and developing appropriate training materials, such as course structures, session plans, training documentation, procedures and supporting resources facilitator guides.

About You

TITEB is looking for a resilient and creative individual with a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus a TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 or a high-level qualification in adult education. You will have a working knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework for adult learning (Australia).

Experience in delivering training programs for Indigenous adults is desirable but not essential.

TITEB is offering an attractive salary circa $75,000 – $80,000 (depending on experience) plus super, negotiable based on your skills and experience, salary packaging up to $16,000 and 6 weeks annual leave.
