About the Role
North Metropolitan TAFE (NMTAFE) is currently seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with current industry knowledge and expertise in Community Services to come and work with us as a lecturer. “Community Services” includes the following sectors: alcohol and other drugs, mental health (including peer work), youth work, housing, and family and domestic violence.

Working as part of a dynamic and supportive team, your role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and inspire students through the delivery of curriculum and/or training packages. You will also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. To maintain quality educational services, you are required to stay ahead and keep abreast of technological and other developments in your field through continuous professional development, and provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

You don’t need prior lecturing experience or training qualifications to apply. If you have the experience, passion and commitment for the work that you do, and would like to pass on these skills to the next generation, then we want to hear from you. We’ll help you with the rest and even provide support and assistance to obtain your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.
