Financial Capability Worker

As part of a vibrant team of financial counsellors and capability workers in a multi-disciplinary organisation, you’ll play a key role in helping people not just survive but thrive!

About the job

Role location:         Slacks Creek
Role type:                Permanent, full-time
Pay range:               $85,393 to $91,880 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • Empower individuals in financial hardship by providing one-on-one support to help them create sustainable budgets, overcome financial challenges, access resources, and build essential money management skills.
  • Lead community education sessions aimed at boosting financial literacy and equipping people with the knowledge to take control of their finances.
  • Collaborate with a range of services, including financial counsellors, homelessness support, domestic and family violence, and employment services, to deliver holistic, wraparound solutions for those in need.
  • Partner with local organisations and community groups to connect with individuals early, preventing financial issues from escalating.
  • Support vulnerable groups, including domestic violence survivors, Centrelink recipients, and newly arrived migrants, to proactively address and resolve financial challenges before they deepen.

  • you thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that’s dedicated to helping people succeed and reach their full potential.
