About the Role

Working in the Facilities section of the Embassy, the Electrical Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled electrical preventative maintenance and repair work to all Mission buildings and Facilities including Residential owned and Leased properties.

 Duties

• Repair malfunctional electrical systems.
• Monitor and inspect generator equipment.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment and appliances.
• Assist in developing and executing testing and inspection checklists.

Skills and Experience

• Three (3) years experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components experience as an electrical apprentice or installer is required.
• Completion of high school is required (year 10) is required.
• Completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognised as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in electrical principals is required.
• Must meet all current electrical regulatory requirements and standards for safety requirements.
• Must have a current and Full drivers license, held for a minimum of 5 years.
