Electrical Engineer

TRILITY is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Jandakot, WA.

The role

The role will see you apply your electrical design skills as part of TRILITY’s engineering team. The engineering team is integral to TRILITY’s Modular Solutions business unit. The engineering team is multi-discipline team spread across Australia and New Zealand. The team has a location-independent principle, with remote collaboration systems to enable delivery of projects anywhere in Australia and New Zealand.

The role is suited to those who have a keen interest in the water sector and 2-8 years’ experience. Experience working with Water Corporation electrical design projects will be highly valued. This role will allow the employee to develop skills, knowledge and experience to continue their development as an electrical engineer.

This is an office-based role, with some travel as required. It is not a FIFO role.

Key responsibilities 

• Electrical design, including preparation of single line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment schematics, loop diagrams, cable and equipment schedules
• Liaise with electrical and control sub-contractors to monitor progress and provide direction
• Assist with workshop technicians in the fabrication of electrical cabinets / enclosure
• Assis the preparation of bill of materials and procurement of electrical and control equipment
• Assisting with plant commissioning, including carrying out investigations related to the process and operational performance
• Complying with quality assurance systems
• Complying with Work Health and Safety Regulations
• Reasonable travel to support projects
• Other duties as directed

What we are looking for

• Someone keen to work in the water industry
• A relevant degree and 2-8 years’ experience in industrial, or water and wastewater, technologies and processes
• Experience in electrical design for Water Corporation projects
• Ability to understand and interpret data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports and communicate technical information to all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in use of AutoCAD software in preparation of electrical design drawings
• Experience in the use of Vault, BIM360, and PowerCAD
• Ability work autonomously
• Drive to seek out support and review from others
• Analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Appropriate level of confidence with a sense of contribution, drive, and initiative
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and conduct field work
