We are seeking a Drinking Water Quality Management System [DWQMS] Technical Lead to join our Compliance & Management Systems team in our Governance & Assurance division.

The Challenge

As the DWQMS Technical Lead you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and delivering key tasks associated with Hunter Water’s Drinking Water Quality Management System.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain and continually improve the Drinking Water Quality Management System
  • Coordinate actions associated with Hunter Water’s Drinking Water Quality Improvement Plan
  • Undertake and assist in liaising with stakeholders and regulatory bodies on water quality issues

What you’ll need to be successful:

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline OR equivalent suitable professional qualifications and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working in a field related to water quality and/or water treatment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in the maintenance of Drinking Water Quality Management Systems
  • Exposure to and/or understanding of water quality risk assessments
