Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services)

We are now seeking a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services) who will be responsible for continuing our whole-of-University commitment to promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation, engagement, education and research.

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services) will lead and oversee the development of the next iteration of the University’s One Sydney, Many People Indigenous strategy and will serve as an active and valued member of the University Executive.

This role also oversees the National Centre for Cultural Competence which provides cultural competence training for our staff and students along with the Gadigal Centre, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student support services.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services) will also assist the University to strengthen government and industry networks along with continued positive community interactions with Indigenous Australians.  This role has strong involvement with, and requires a deep understanding of, the issues relating to and affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, as well as an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
