About the Role

The Data Arena Coordinator provides administrative services, coordinates and facilitates events and activities within the Data Arena. They work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and utilisation of the Data Arena for various events and research activities.

About You

As the Data Arena Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and schedule events and activities within the Data Arena, including workshops, presentations, and research showcases.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing support and guidance for event planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with eResearch and Data Arena team members to ensure that the Data Arena equipment and software are operational and optimised for each event.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to general operations of the facility, event bookings, invoicing, data collection for event evaluation and improvements.
  • Greet and assist visitors to the Data Arena, providing them with information about the facility and its capabilities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience; Or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Proven experience and success in event coordination or similar role, preferably within a technical or university environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and the proven ability to effectively plan and manage multiple events.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey concepts and ideas to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and teamwork.

Remuneration & Benefits

 

Base Salary Range: $81,445 to $93,173  pa (HEW 5)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
