About headspace

headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.

About the Opportunity

As the Clinical Lead at headspace, you’ll be at the forefront of providing compassionate and effective care to young people and their families experiencing mental health issues. In this role, you’ll provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to our committed Primary Mental Health Team, and Social Emotional Wellbeing Worker.

Working closely with the Centre Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clinical services align with the Australian Early Psychosis Guidelines and the headspace model.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you’ll lead quality assurance initiatives such as file auditing and clinical reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our team. Your dedication to upholding the values of Anglicare NT will ensure that we continue to provide quality services that make a positive impact in our community.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Approved tertiary qualification (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing) and minimum 5 years’ experience in a health-related discipline
  • Postgraduate qualifications in evidence based therapeutic modalities (i.e. CBT and ACT) is essential.
  • Registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills with experience in providing clinical leadership and supervision within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience providing a range of early intervention services to young people within a mental health setting including provision of group programs (minimum 3 years
  • Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, their families, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current NT manual driver’s licence.
