The Kabi Kabi Peoples Aboriginal Corporation (KKPAC) is managed by a Board of Directors and is dedicated to creating opportunities and delivering outcomes for all Kabi Kabi people. The role will lead the Kabi Kabi Peoples Aboriginal Corporation in its objectives to protect, manage, and advance the cultural, environmental, and economic interests of the Kabi Kabi people. The role involves fostering sustainable stewardship of Kabi Kabi Country, building a strong organisational foundation, and empowering the Kabi Kabi people to confidently walk in two worlds: respecting traditional responsibilities while achieving modern prosperity.

Responsibilities of the Position include:
1. Compliance and Governance: Ensure all operations comply with and leverage relevant legislation such as the Native Title Act and the Cultural Heritage Act. Establish governance structures that support transparency, accountability, and respect for cultural authority.
2. Cultural Stewardship: Safeguard Kabi Kabi’s cultural heritage, promoting a deep understanding of identity and connection to the land. Enable Kabi Kabi people to assert their rightful role as stewards of Country.
3. Environmental Management: Lead environmental stewardship initiatives, including the understanding and management of Environmental Impact Statements and collaboration with external partners to enhance outcomes on Country.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government bodies, industry, and community partners, advocating for Kabi Kabi interests and championing the vision of Kabi Kabi as guardians of cultural, environmental and physical assets.
5. Business Operations: Drive organisational growth by managing financial resources, human resources, and strategic planning, ensuring that the KKPAC is positioned to create opportunities for Kabi Kabi people to thrive on their Country.
6. Community Engagement: Foster inclusive and transparent engagement with Kabi Kabi people, ensuring that Kabi Kabi Traditional Owners are connected to Country and have the opportunity to contribute to its stewardship.

About You:
• Proven leadership with 10+ years in executive management.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with Boards.
• MBA preferred (not essential).
• Ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration.
