Applications are now open for undergraduate students to join Brisbane City Council’s 2023 Cadetship Pathway program.

What does Brisbane City Council do?

About the program

The Cadetship Pathway program is a part-time development-focused program available to undergraduates who are completing a degree level qualification from a tertiary institution and are in their final or penultimate years.

Over the course of the one-year program participants will gain exposure and experience aligned to their area of study, whilst also being provided with the opportunity to engage in group and one-on-one development initiatives, and tailored coaching interventions. Cadets will gain a broad range of experience as they work across a variety of sections in Council and will have the opportunity to provide business units with up-to-date knowledge and perspectives.

Communications Officer – Req# 644681
Data Analyst – Req# 644677

Eligibility Requirements

This opportunity is open to students who are:

  • currently studying an undergraduate Bachelor degree-level course at a tertiary institution
  • in the penultimate or final years of your degree, but not graduating before November 2023
  • have visa/work rights that allow part-time work for the duration of the program
  • able to work two days per week in addition to your university studies, starting in January 2023.
