Associate Producer (Identified: Australian First Nations)

An exciting opportunity exists at State Library of Queensland for an Associate Producer (Identified) to work within the Creative Production unit.

This role provides the opportunity for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to bring their cultural expertise and lived experience to the Events team, and to build the teams cultural capability to work respectfully and effectively with First Nations peoples.

A key focus of the Associate Producer, Creative Production is to support the delivery of production services and event administration for State Library of Queensland’s suite of internally produced events and associated programs that includes award ceremonies, symposiums and exhibition launches.

  • Assist in developing and delivering high quality events, that support State Library programming and activation objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships, collaborating effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the consistent delivery of production services within scheduled time frames.
  • Support the preparation of venue and technical documentation for event set up teams and audio-visual operators including schedules, run sheets, catering and entertainment riders.
  • Attend programmed events and contribute as an active event day team member in both front of house and backstage roles when required.
  • Contribute to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
