Assistant Advisor (Media)

As the Assistant Advisor (Media), you will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary External Affairs team comprising social media, media and digital content teams that contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the department’s external communication function.

You will:

• Assist with the daily activities of the media team and collaborate with other Strategic Communications Unit teams including social media, digital content, organisational communications and marketing to ensure timely and accurate delivery of integrated communication services.
• Research and assist with the preparation of contemporary communications materials aligning with TMR’s business priorities and strategic goals.
• Liaise with executives, stakeholders and department representatives, providing support on external communication, digital platforms, emerging technologies, policies, and general enquiries.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in conducting research, analysis, and evaluation of stakeholder sentiment; provide support to assess the effectiveness of external communication messaging and campaigns and report findings.

What we’re looking for?

• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, corporate affairs, or similar, or at least five years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating impactful content for various media and communication channels.
• Demonstrates stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
• Effective organisational, resource, and time management skills.
• Developed business and political acumen and emotional intelligence.
