Armoured Vehicle Crew

Your role:
During your role as an Armoured Vehicle crew driver you will employ night fighting equipment, communication systems, navigate terrain during the day and night, apply basic field craft, maintain personnel fitness and participate in dismounted operations.

Your duties include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Drive and take care of these impressive vehicles, keeping them battlefield-ready
  • Maintaining radio and weapon systems, and contributing to minor servicing of vehicle power plants
  • Provide mobility, communications, endurance, and combat power

Location:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in North QLD, QLD, VIC and the NT.

Salary:
In the Army you’ll get paid a competitive salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $80,549 per annum plus generous super.

For this role, you must be an Australian citizen, over 17 at the time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
