Aboriginal Health Liaison Officer

Western Health is looking to employ an Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officer (AHLO) to work within the Wilim Berrbang team to provide a liaison service to Aboriginal patients, their families and carers at Western Health.

 

Wilim Berrbang is responsible for delivering and developing services and programs to support and improve access to culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal patients and families accessing all Western Health sites in line with Western Health’s strategic plan/s and key state-wide and national priorities.

The AHLO will help ensure that Western Health is culturally sensitive, safe and welcoming to Aboriginal people.

 

This is a part-time (0.8EFT), Monday to Friday opportunity with 5 weeks Annual Leave.

The AHLO may be required to partake in an evening in-hospital or after-hours on call roster to provide telephone and/or face-to-face support to patients of Western Health.

The AHLO will be required to travel between Western Health sites.
