Pathology Collector

About the role

We are seeking a Pathology Collector to join our dedicated team within Port Fairy, South West Coast Victoria. This position will suit self-motivated individuals with a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.

Specific duties include:

  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
  • Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.
  • Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner.

Skills and experience:

  • Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills both in person and over the telephone.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Sound clinical knowledge.
  • A current Driver’s License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work alone and participate in weekday and weekend shifts across any of our collection centres.
  • Computer skills.
  • Rights to work in Australia.
