How you can Make a Difference:

The College of Science and Engineering is seeking an Associate Lecturer to join its talented academic staff in delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in the applicant’s area of expertise. You will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative teaching materials, whilst working with our Indigenous Curriculum Coordinator to integrate Indigenous knowledge and cultural understanding in curriculum.

As a Teaching Specialist (Academic), your additional key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support, academic counselling and professional advice to students concerning their studies, professional development and career opportunities.
  • Undertake activities that promote the development of productive partnerships to provide opportunities for students and promote graduate employability.

This position is open to domestic candidates and relocation support is available.

About You

As an early career Teaching Specialist (Academic), you will demonstrate a student-centred approach and will be passionate about achieving optimum learning outcomes for students. Independently, and in collaboration with your team, you will actively work towards growing one of our teaching disciplines.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Satisfactory completion of 4 years tertiary study or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated evidence of making a contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with staff and students.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment

  • A valid National Police Check Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
