Intensive Family Support – Child and Family Practitioner (multiple positions available)

We’re thrilled to announce that thanks to additional funding, we’re expanding our Intensive Family Support (IFS) team in Jimboomba! We’re on the lookout for passionate and experienced family workers to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families. As part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work directly in family homes to support children’s wellbeing from a strengths-based perspective. You’ll have the freedom to get creative in how you engage with families, while benefiting from the support of an experienced and dedicated team.

In this role, you’ll gain valuable training in assessment and case planning tools, with a strong focus on risk assessment and collaboration with the Child Safety Principal Child Protection Practitioner. Our integrated approach means you’ll be working alongside skilled professionals from a range of fields, including Domestic and Family Violence, Housing, and Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare therapists, to help create meaningful, lasting solutions for families.

About the job

Role location:     Jimboomba. Our Jimboomba office is only 40 minutes from Logan and Springfield, and a one-hour drive from the Gold Coast.
Role type:            Permanent, full-time
Pay range:           $97,689 to $99,791 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • develop and provide purposeful and tailored support plans for families experiencing multiple and complex needs
  • mentor families by providing practical parenting strategies and links with specialist supports
  • work across the Browns Plains / Beaudesert regions from our Jimboomba base
  • undertake flexible home visits, which may occasionally be scheduled outside of core business hours
  • have professional development opportunities.
