Prosecutor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosecutor to join NHVR’s NSW Prosecutions unit. In this busy and varied role, you will manage, prepare and conduct complex prosecutions on behalf of the NHVR.

Reporting to Senior Prosecutor, the position covers the southern courts within NSW. You will attend regional courts on a regular basis with occasional overnight stays. Given the nature of the role, after-hours work may be required.

This is a permanent, fulltime position that can be based in Queanbeyan, Wagga Wagga or Albury. We also welcome applications for our Parramatta office. 

About You

As the ideal candidate you will have over three years’ experience as a legal practitioner and ideally a minimum of 2 years in the field of prosecution. This experience will include all facets of trial preparations, working with court procedures, summary procedures and relevant legislation.

Crucial to your success is the ability to undertake extensive and complex case management and thrive with the challenge of working to deadlines. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills are required to plan and coordinate high volumes of work.

With high level interpersonal and communication skills you will be able to deliver a high standard of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
