About the Role

Due to additional funding received, a newly created role of Project Officer (Engagement and Digital Health) has become available. This position is a full-time maximum term contract, to 30 June 2025.

Reporting to the Senior Project Officer (Engagement and Digital Health), this role will support processes and provide technical support for the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of digital health initiatives. This includes supporting the Digital Health Lead and Allied Health Lead. These activities complement other Primary Health Care Program deliverables to achieve GCPHN’s strategic objectives.

Key components of this portfolio include:

  • Supporting the improvement of digital health capability and capacity
  • Primary Health Care Engagement and Digital Health Program initiatives
  • Digital health support
  • Training and education

Specific Duties

  • Complete education activities delivered by the Australian Digital Health Agency, focusing on My Health Record, Provider Connect Australia (PCA), and Electronic Prescribing (EP), including the registration process.
  • Engage with healthcare providers, particularly allied health organisations, to participate in identified project activities through direct engagement, communications, and publications.
  • Identify and support the development of resources for primary healthcare organisations to support digital health, quality improvement, and data management.
  • Promote and facilitate the adoption of Provider Connect Australia™ as a preferred method for updating provider contact details.
  • Advocate for and facilitate the adoption and benefits of My Health Record and electronic prescribing among allied health providers.
  • Assist allied health organisations and providers with registration for My Health Record and PCA.
  • Promote the advantages of the Active Script List (ASL) for consumers engaging with allied health services.
  • Assist allied health organisations and providers to implement processes and systems that improve data quality, population health outcomes, and business models.

Selection Criteria

  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deliverables with short turnaround times.
  • Project Management experience, with the ability to upskill in digital health quickly.
  • This position will require significant travel across the Gold Coast region to complete practice visits with allied health providers and other PHC providers. You must hold a full Australian driver’s licence, and comprehensive car insurance on your personal vehicle.
