Your opportunity

The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) is implementing Queensland’s Child Safe Organisations (CSO) system including a mandatory child safe standards scheme and a reportable conduct scheme as outlined in the new Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (the Act). In this role you will work with regulators and peak bodies to ensure the necessary capacity building strategies are in place for each phase of the rollout of the scheme. You will draw on strong engagement skills and show agility and innovation to support regulators and peak bodies to implement the legislative framework.

About your responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Provide expert analysis and advice, in collaboration with sector peaks, bodies and regulators, to guide the development of child safe education and capacity building materials for a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Participate in and/or coordinate aspects of research and analysis to underpin education and capacity building activities to support entities to implement of Queensland’s child safeguarding framework.
  • Develop and review capacity-building activities to support small organisations to implement the scheme.
  • Support the implementation of communication strategies by preparing communication aids including text for information sheets, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations and other material as required.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate provision of information by liaising and effectively communicating directly with stakeholders.
  • Research, analyse and prepare documentation and reports to the Executive where there are conflicting high-level commitments and competing priorities to support informed decision-making and planning.
  • Apply project governance, including robust planning, scheduling, risk management, delivery and reporting.

competencies for Queensland.

Remuneration

AO6
– $115,758 – $123,611 (yearly)
– $4,437 – $4,738 (fortnightly)

– $132,268 up to $141,241 (total remuneration)
