<p>A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitable individual to join the Executive team in the role of Project Coordinator, Employers and Carers Network.  The Project Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Employers and Carers Network in line with the NSW Carers Strategy 2014-2019 to champion better employment outcomes for carers in NSW.</p>
<p>Pivotal to your success in this role, is your ability to be a self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication, organisational skills, versatility and attention to detail.</p>
<p>Key accountabilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build strong collaborative relationships with employers and employment networks within NSW</li>
<li>Promote carers rights and Carers NSW at workshops, community events and places of interest.</li>
<li>Develop a Network Membership Recruitment strategy targeting employers, including a launch event</li>
<li>Initiate and conduct research on carer employment-related issues in line with Carers NSW strategic directions and in consultation with the Manager Policy and Research and the CEO</li>
<li>Develop and deliver conference presentations to promote carer issues and support needs.</li>
<li>Prepare information for Carers NSW publications, including the e-Bulletin and Carers News</li>
</ul>
<p>The successful applicant must possess:</p>
<ul>
<li>TAA04 Cert IV Training and Assessment</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage, facilitate, promote and evaluate programs and events including workshops and training within the corporate sector</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to provide high quality support, information and advocacy</li>
<li>Strong time management and task prioritising skills</li>
<li>Strong commitment to and experience with workplace diversity</li>
<li>Impeccable communications skills; both written and verbal</li>
<li>Strong research and analytical skills</li>
<li>Good understanding of the community care sector and health systems</li>
</ul>

<p>The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing high level analytics, dynamic reporting, auditing and systems support.  The position works collaboratively with and supports the Procurement team to deliver cost efficiencies to the organisation.</p>
<p>The position also supports the Governance Coordinator to deliver a suite of Procurement systems and tools across the Council, This includes support with identifying, assessing, sourcing and implementation of the systems as well as the provision of ongoing training.</p>
<p><strong>You can bring</strong>… (Selection criteria)</p>
<ul>
<li>A relevant tertiary qualification to degree level in procurement, supply chain, business, commerce or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>High level analytical and lateral thinking skills with the ability to operate autonomously and take initiative.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of Procurement applications including Contract Management Systems, P2P, eTendering tools.</li>
<li>Experienced in leading edge systems and technology in data and process analytics and visualisation.</li>
<li>High level communication skills (verbal/communication) with the ability to use strong discretion and judgment in a complex business and political environment.</li>
<li>High level experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels and tailoring to individual requirements.</li>
<li>Extensive experience using MS Project and analytics tools such as Power BI</li>
<li>Ability to be flexible and adaptable within a changing environment and delivering high volume outcomes.</li>
<li>Influencing skills with demonstrated experience in achieving effective business outcomes.</li>
<li>Excellent written communication skills including ability to research, prepare and deliver complex correspondence, reports and presentations.</li>

<p>The purpose of the Urban Strategy Branch is to design and plan the future city to be thriving and resilient so all communities can flourish. Through understanding place and history, community needs and urban trends, the branch plans to enable sustainable urban renewal and manage city change.</p>
<p><strong>How this position makes the difference to City of Melbourne…</strong>As a Strategic Planner in the Planning Policy team of the Urban Strategy Branch, you will be responsible for providing high quality professional strategic planning and planning scheme expertise and advice to Council to achieve our goals for the municipality’s urban planning and development.  You will also work with our heritage team to implement heritage reviews through planning scheme amendments.</p>
<p>In addition, you will be involved in participating in planning programs for continuous improvement on the way the Branch works, to improve the quality and productivity of the Branch.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will bring to this role their strong project management expertise as you will be working and delivering on a number of Branch projects relevant to the city. Communication, collaboration and strong stakeholder relationship skills go hand in hand for the success in this role.</p>

<li>Demonstrated ability to provide advice on and develop urban regulation provisions through planning schemes and other statutory mechanisms</li>
<li>Proven experience and skills in developing and implementation urban planning policy</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships and work in multi-disciplinary teams</li>
<li>Demonstrated project management skills in planning and resource management and ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes within budget and agreed timeframes</li>
