Workforce Support Officer

Partnering with the human resource team, the Workforce Support Officer will drive improved business performance through effective workforce planning practices to ensure the Human Resource team support the achievement of the organisational objectives.  The role is responsible for the overall identification, coordination and implementation of professional and career development of the Wurli workforce. Key areas of service delivery include:-

  • In conjunction with the Human Resource Manager ensure staff recruitment, on boarding and performance review practices incorporate the appropriate identification of learning and development needs
  • Ensure mandatory training and CPD training is undertaken by all staff in accordance with their position requirements in a timely manner.
  • As part of the performance management framework assist managers / coordinators undertake a training needs analysis for all staff to identify whether minimum qualifications for each position have been attained and identify any future training requirements
  • Review organisational training plans and develop an annual Wurli Organisational Training plan and calendar
  • Provide mentoring support to staff undertaking Nationally Recognised Qualifications

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:-

  • Relevant qualifications and / or experience (Such as Certificate III or higher in a field relevant to an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) (primary health / community (social) services / training and assessment)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the learning and development function and the associated activities and processes required for organisational workforce planning and ongoing employee development. (Identification of training options, training needs analysis, training plans and mentoring)
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently/ autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively with in a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • High degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent written, communication and listening skills
  • Current National Police Records Check and Working with Children’s Clearance
  • Current Northern Territory Driver’s License
