The Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) is the governing body for cricket in the state of Western Australia (WA). The WACA is home to WA’s elite teams, the Big Bash League’s male and female Perth Scorchers as well as the Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors and the Alcohol.Think Again Western Fury. Our vision is to be Leaders in Australian Sport in all areas including national team representation, elite team success, participation, engagement and fan experience.
This position will be instrumental in growing Aboriginal Cricket in WA and will work with the wider Game & Market Development team with a focus on of providing specialist advice and support in relation to communication and engagement with the Aboriginal community to enable effective program delivery, and to represent the interests of Aboriginal cricket.
The role will focus on developing the sustainable growth of Aboriginal cricket in Western Australia through increased connection, engagement and participation. This will be achieved by developing and delivering targeted Aboriginal cricket programs and initiatives, working with clubs and members of the community to promote diversity and inclusion practices, and providing input into the WA Aboriginal Cricket Advisory Committee (WAACAC).

We are seeking a committed individual with a demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture who is able to establish and maintain strong community relationships, particularly with Aboriginal stakeholders. You will possess demonstrated administration experience with a proven ability to administer financial requirements.
A strong knowledge of the game and the Aboriginal cricket community will be advantageous.
