Manager Educational Leadership and Regulatory Authority Support

We are looking for Manager Educational Leadership and Regulatory Authority Support to guide the team to work collaboratively with state and territory regulatory authorities and peak organisations to identify areas for improvement and to develop and deliver resources, presentations, workshops, articles, training, and guidance materials and to build a shared understanding of the requirements and expectations of the National Quality Framework (NQF).

This role will help increase knowledge of current issues impacting on the education and care sector in the national context, and develop a wide knowledge base of how different jurisdictions operate whilst working towards a common lens of quality, best practice and national consistency.

Given the position and its responsibilities, we strongly encourage applications from candidates with experience working in state and territory regulatory authorities.

This role is ACECQA Band 6 (base salary of $102,853 to $118,145 plus superannuation) depending on skills and experience.

This role is for a fixed term until 28 June 2019.

Selection Criteria:                                                         

  1. Demonstrated experience in scoping, planning, conducting, managing and reporting on projects and a proven ability to manage and implement improvements to existing systems
  2. Demonstrated experience leading, developing and motivating a team of staff to achieve optimum performance and deliver high quality products
  3. Proven ability to identify stakeholder interests and implement influencing strategies which align with organisational goals (including experience in collaborating with key stakeholders in the Australian education and care sector)
  4. Proven capacity to communicate persuasively and clearly to multiple audiences, including skills in developing content for interactive presentations, eLearning modules, resources, web-based resources, newsletter articles, operational guidelines, technical reports, briefs and correspondence
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of the children’s education and care sector in Australia and demonstrated familiarity with the National Quality Framework including the National Law and Regulations, learning frameworks and related resources
  6. Proven ability to gather and assess information to develop recommendations and develop innovative strategies as part of longer-term planning processes
  7. Experience in developing/delivering professional development resources and opportunities

Desirable:

  1. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  2. Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of best practice in early childhood service delivery.
