2018 Melbourne Knowledge Week Volunteers

Melbourne Knowledge Week (MKW) is the City of Melbourne’s unique annual festival for a smart and innovative city, where we bring the future city to life, today!

This year’s exciting event will bring a program of more than 70 horizon-expanding events that will focus on connecting people, place, research and technology to create the city of the future.

MKW will take place Monday 7 May to Sunday 13 May 2018

We are looking for passionate events volunteers to assist us with customer service, venue support, event operations, and some administration.

Get hands on events experience in the knowledge sector!

You will contribute to the delivery of an exciting festival showcasing innovative projects and thinkers to locals and visitors alike, and encourage public debate about what it means to be a knowledge city. This is a fantastic way to get involved in a bold and future-focused program of events.

Volunteer engagement process

Applicants who proceed to the next stage of the process will be required to complete a police check and obtain a Volunteer Status Working with Children Check.

All applicants will be advised via email of application status up to two weeks after the advert has closed.

Applicants must be able to attend one of the following group interview sessions:

  • Thursday, 5 April 2018 – 12:15pm to 1:30pm
  • Friday, 6 April 2018 – 6:00pm to 7:15pm

Successful volunteers must be able to attend the volunteer induction:

  • Friday, 21 April 2018 – 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Successful volunteers will be required to wear a branded festival t-shirt (to be provided) during their shift.
