<p><strong>What would I be doing? </strong>Street outreach in the early morning or late evenings, to engage with people sleeping rough, to help them get off the street into safe housing, to know that everyone has their own goals and motivation to change their circumstances, so it’s important to work alongside people. You would work with people newly housed to manage any risk to their tenancies and work closely with other Aboriginal services, specialist homelessness services, health services, council and FACS Housing.</p>
<p><u>Employment Information</u></p>

<li><strong>Pay: CSD level 3 $63 806pa &#8211; $68 782pa ($32.29/hr &#8211; $34.80/hr) depending on skills and experience</strong></li>
<li><strong>7 day rotating roster (8:30-5 pm) with some weekend and 6am early morning starts and 9pm late evening finishes</strong></li>
<li><b><strong>Maximum Term Contract until 30<sup>th</sup> June 2020, with a 3 month probation period.</strong></b></li>

<li>Contributing to the resolution of major customer or supplier contracts issues or related disputes where required;</li>
<li>Quantification of billing data;</li>

<li>Contributing to financial, operational and contractual analysis to identify risks and propose appropriate market and mitigation strategies; and</li>

<p>Kambarang Place provides accommodation and professional case management services to sole Aboriginal women who are escaping domestic violence, homelessness, or other life crises</p>
<p>We are seeking a motivated person with experience and / or qualifications within the alcohol and drug field, to join our team at Kambarang Place.</p>
<p>The Counsellor Educator will possess a sound level of clinical knowledge regarding AOD and family and domestic violence and will provide counselling, group facilitation, education and support to individuals impacted by AOD use.</p>
<p>Salary level 4 &#8211; 5 $57,804 – $68,132 (per annum).</p>
<p>The successful candidate will:</p>
<ul>
<li>A degree in social, behavioural or health sciences or equivalent experience in the alcohol and drug sector.</li>
<li>Understanding of family and domestic violence issues and experience in working with women who have been impacted by family and domestic violence issues.</li>
<li>Well demonstrated and well developed assessment and counselling skills.</li>
<li>Experience in group facilitation.</li>
<li>Knowledge of and experience in working in a culturally secure way.</li>
<li>Experience and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.</li>
<li>Demonstrated and well developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.</li>
<li>Experience in delivering education and training programs.</li>
<li>Current Police clearance</li>
</ul>
