<p>The role of the <strong>Occupational Therapist</strong> is to assist provide  a strong evidence based framework that aims to empower individuals who are currently experiencing injury, illness, disability or psychological dysfunction, while living rough in the Katherine town.  The Occupational Therapist will be required to work in partnership with the other team support workers to develop and implement care plans that assist KISP individuals in recovery and promote maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.</p>
<p><strong><u>Applicants must be able to demonstrate:-</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)</li>
<li>Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and culture, including issues effecting communities</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in addressing the social determinants of health with a particular focus on dual diagnosis, and disability.</li>
<li>Demonstrates ability to understand and conduct multiple evaluation methods and techniques</li>
<li>A comprehensive knowledge of the impact that addiction, mental health and disability has on mind, body, spirit, and family.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Summary of terms and conditions of employment</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>An ordinary working week of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.</li>

<li>Demonstrated knowledge of the learning and development function and the associated activities and processes required for organisational workforce planning and ongoing employee development. (Identification of training options, training needs analysis, training plans and mentoring)</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to work independently/ autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively with in a team</li>
<li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>High degree of confidentiality and discretion</li>
<li>Excellent written, communication and listening skills</li>
<li>Current National Police Records Check and Working with Children’s Clearance</li>
