Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for staffing and day-to-day management of the JIC Subsea Integration team and third party engineering support
• Assists JIC Engineering Manager to develop budget and staffing plans including staff development and progression planning
• Ensure joint venture participants’ resources and company technical subject matter experts are effectively utilised
• Provide technical direction to the JIC Subsea Integration team in the integration of the key offshore elements associated with the JIC subsea compression
• Ensure close liaison of the JIC Subsea Integration team with the JIC Pre-Operations and Systems Engineering teams to support development of tie-in and isolation strategies
• Direct the JIC Subsea Integration team and supporting contractors in framing, development and collation of phase deliverables into suitable reports, presentations and decision support packages
• Work closely with the JIC Supply Chain Management (group, identify engineering contractor/consultancy support requirements for pre- front end engineering and design (FEED) and FEED
• Coordinate technical input to FEED contracting strategies and subsequent FEED tender package/s
• Liaise with join venture partners through technology working groups, guidance groups, Chevron subject matter experts, other Project Engineering teams, project groups and stakeholders
• Provide input to weekly and monthly reports in the areas of responsibility to allow accurate cost and progress tracking of phase 2 activities
• Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices

Key skills and experience required:

• Demonstrated ability to lead subsea engineering teams and identify and build key relationships with peers and stakeholders to deliver high performance business results
• Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver strategic decisions associated with delivery of subsea major capital projects
• Significant experience (15 + years) in upstream oil and gas industry with demonstrated experience in delivery of engineering packages to support installation of complex subsea infrastructure associated with high capacity gas gathering systems
• Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships with peers and stakeholders that contribute to high-performance business results
• Demonstrated commitment to Chevron’s values of integrity, partnership and trust and achieving an incident and injury free environment
